One of the catalysts for unleashing youth potential is mentorship. Youth require mentors who will listen, teach, coach and support them through sharing knowledge, skills, insights, experiences and opportunities. Mentorship promotes youth development through improvement in academic performance, positive self-worth, enhanced self-esteem and self-confidence, development of healthier relationships and better lifestyle choices. Young people need networks for their growth and accomplishment. It is beneficial to link them with professionals and other industry players for mentorship, which will guide and help them prosper in their areas of specialization.
