Former Attorney General Prof. Githu Muigai talks to the youth on the importance of education and knowledge

Education is intended to bring noticeable change in our lives. Through actions, one can differentiate a learned person from the others. Education is the only bank from which we can withdraw knowledge which is the key to a better world and the only bargaining currency we have. It is the key to advances, making the boundary between others and podium takers because it is the price for any rank in the society. It costs knowledge, skill, creativity and innovativeness to be a leaders to others. Gone are the days of dependence on inheritance and knowledge has taken the place because it is the most suitable resource for good standards of living. It is for this reason that the government and communities spend billions to import knowledge. If we are to match the demands that come with changes in lifestyle, it is important to learn and acquire knowledge in this dynamic society. We should keep our feet on the ground but reach out to the sky by giving the best through coming up with innovations steered towards problem solving. Education takes people to greater heights and can gives one exposure. It is my hope that Elimika continues to grow to reach the youth and the communities all over. Let it continue to instill in to the youth knowledge and creativity and drive them to independent levels. Young people should also not be victims of circumstances, do not be a victim of what people say about you but rather hold on to your ground and do what is right. You don’t have to do what others are doing, be creative and come up with other ways of doing things and in a better way.
